SUMMARY:2nd open call for Route 1 expert (non-financial) support (OPEN)
DESCRIPTION:Support programme for repositories and data service providers\nThe FAIR Principles focus on characteristics of digital objects that make them Findable\, Accessible\, Interoperable and Reusable. Achieving and maintaining those characteristics depends on the individuals and organisations that create\, store\, curate\, and preserve the objects. These activities are ‘FAIR-enabling’\, and repositories and data service providers play an important role in facilitating them. \nFAIR-IMPACT is here to help repositories and data service providers  assess your current FAIR-enabling capabilities and develop action plans to improve them. We will introduce you to services and tools that address a wide range of topics\, such as: \n\nRepository policy\, e.g. ACME-FAIR\, Data support policy for photon and neutron science;\nMaking objects in the repository more FAIR\, e.g. CESSDA Data Archiving Guide\, FAIR Cookbook;\nAutomated FAIR assessment\, e.g. F-UJI\, Framework for assessing FAIR services;\nRepository certification\, e.g. CoreTrustSeal+FAIRenabling Capability Maturity Model\, FAIRsFAIR repository support.\n\nWe go beyond the formal FAIR principles and also include guidance for effective strategies to engage with your community and position your organisation in the research landscape. In other words\, we are here to make your organisation more successful.

SUMMARY:EUNIS Congress 2024
DESCRIPTION:The EUNIS Congress 2024\, taking place in the vibrant city of Athens\, Greece\, from June 5th to 7th. This premier event offers a dynamic platform for researchers\, developers\, and practitioners to showcase their latest findings and innovations in information technology and systems for Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). \nAt EUNIS 2024\, participants will engage in rich exchanges of perspectives and experiences\, delving into the intricate landscape of digital transformation within European Universities. With a focus on strategically evaluating challenges and seizing opportunities amidst evolving demographics\, mobility trends\, energy dynamics\, and digital sovereignty concerns\, the congress promises to be a pivotal gathering for HEIs. \nThe program encompasses a diverse range of activities\, including oral and poster presentations\, panel discussions\, tutorials\, hands-on sessions\, and exhibitions. Additionally\, attendees can look forward to an exciting social program that immerses them in the cultural splendor of Athens and its surroundings. \nFAIRCORE4EOSC at EUNIS 2024\nFAIRECORE4EOSC has submitted a paper on the Metadata Schema and Crosswalk Registry (MSCR). Developed within the framework of the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC)\, MSCR offers tangible solutions to the pervasive issue of information heterogeneity across semantic\, structural\, and syntactic domains. \nDesigned to bridge the gap between disparate datasets and standards\, MSCR serves as a vital tool for harmonising data exchange within the EOSC ecosystem. By providing a centralised repository for metadata schemas and crosswalks\, it empowers researchers and institutions to seamlessly navigate and integrate diverse data sources\, fostering collaboration and innovation on a global scale.
