DESCRIPTION:Amplifying the work of the scientific community made possible through our open science tools. \nNow in its fifth year\, Open Science Week will take place Sept. 16-22\, 2024. Leaders\, producers\, educators and users of open science are encouraged to engage with this campaign. A celebration of open science in all its forms – Open Science Week calls attention to scientists and organizations who share their tools\, resources and data openly to accelerate research and discovery. This annual celebration\, founded and coordinated by the Allen Institute\, takes place during the third week of September.

DESCRIPTION:What is Open Science? How can openness and the culture of sharing be practiced and promoted in science? What methods are there to live more openness in scientific practice? Under the motto  Meet\, Share\, Inspire\, Care\, the 3rd Open Science Festival in Germany  offers the opportunity to pursue these and other questions\, to network and to learn from one another. \nOpen Science creates encounters within and with science\, enables access to knowledge\, data and research processes. Openness as a principle shapes the framework conditions of science. Open access and open data facilitate access to scientific findings. Open standards and methods enable cooperation and are inspiration for new research approaches. At the same time\, Open Science rethinks the relationship between science and society. \nThe 3rd Open Science Festival is aimed equally at newcomers\, interested parties and experts and aims to enable encounters and exchanges in a wide variety of formats.
