SUMMARY:Driving EU Prosperity: The Future of Knowledge Valorisation
DESCRIPTION:EU’s knowledge valorisation policy aims to accelerate the uptake of R&I results to realise the full potential of R&I investments for a prosperous Europe. It is key for Europe’s economic resilience\, innovation capacity\, strategic autonomy and societal welfare. \nWith the Political Guidelines of the new Commission placing R&I at the heart of the economy\, and also the publication of the Letta and Draghi reports\, this effort has received new strong impetus. \nRegistration is now open for the annual EU flagship knowledge valorisation event\, which will take place on 10 December 2024 in Brussels and online!  \n\n\n\n\nRegister here\n\n\n\nDescription\n\n\n\n\n\nThe event will feature international perspectives and host a variety of sessions covering business-academia collaboration\, socially responsible licensing\, standards for innovation\, citizen science\, insights from the EUIPO and the EPO on the role of academia and SMEs\, prize ceremonies and much more. A panel will discuss the future of knowledge valorisation. \nYou will be able to ask questions to the speakers\, network extensively and visit interactive stands of valorisation support services. \nThe event is open to attendance in person or online through live broadcasting\, free of charge. \nShould you require any further information\, please contact the organisation team at: RTD-VALORISATION-POLICIES-IPR@ec.europa.eu \nThe event’s context is the intensive work stemming from several\, recently unveiled EU policy initiatives (Council Recommendation on Guiding principles and Codes of practice on the management of intellectual assets\, standardisation\, citizen engagement and industry-academia co-creation as well as Council conclusions on strengthening knowledge valorisation) supporting a thriving valorisation ecosystem and the wrapping up of a two-year long EU-wide awareness raising campaign. \nWe will take stock of this intensive dialogue with national stakeholders and discuss where the new measures took us and what is the way forward together.
