SUMMARY:EULiST Alliance interactive Virtual Round Tables (VRT) on the European Open Science Cloud
DESCRIPTION:A moderated interactive virtual round table with Karel Luyben\, President of the EOSC Association. \n  \nThe discussion will be moderated by Paolo Budroni\, EULiST Alliance Local Coordinator at TU Wien. \nThe VRT will have the character of a mini-workshop and a duration comparable to a radio broadcast\, in which an expert (Karel Luyben) will be led in the broadcast by a moderator. He was Rector Magnificus of the Delft University of Technology from 2010 to 2018. Before that he served as Dean of the Faculty of Applied Sciences for almost 12 years. \nIn 1983 he was appointed full professor in Biochemical Engineering at the Delft University of Technology\, and from there has gained experience in research\, starting a SME\, research leadership and leading European organisations like the European Federation of Biotechnology\, CESAER and now the European Open Science Cloud Association. \nPresently he is primarily active in the domain of Open Science. Until 2023 he was National Coordinator for Open Science in the Netherlands. He was the Chairman of the Board of the Dutch Techcentre for Life Sciences for ten years and is involved with the Open Science Task Forces of CESAER and EUA since 2020. \nSince 2021 he is the President of the European Open Science Cloud Association (EOSC-A). \n

DESCRIPTION:We are delighted to invite you to the eighth event in our ENOEL Workshop series\, on 4 June 2024 at 4-5:50 PM CEST. The workshop topic is “Embrace the Open: How to start an institutional OE pilot project”. \n  \nOur workshop facilitators are Claudia Hackl\, Open Education Austria Advanced | University of Vienna  (Austria)\, Mira Buist-Zhuk\, University of Groningen (Netherlands)\, and Marta Bustillo\, University College Dublin (Ireland). \n  \nDuring this workshop\, you will discover the importance of OER and the need for institutional anchoring and infrastructure development to ensure their availability and adoption in higher education. You will also get an opportunity to explore the diverse requirements and perspectives on OER from different stakeholders when starting an institutional OE project. \nWith other participants\, you will further reflect on the development of infrastructure and services for OER to support university teaching and research in the long run.
