The project EOSC-CONNECT kicked-off last week with a meeting in Helsinki (Finland), home of the coordinating organisation CSC. The Austrian community is represented in the consortium by the EOSC SOA members TU Wien/Austrian Scientific Computing (ASC), OpenKnowledge Maps and TU Graz, joining organisations across Europe behind 14 emerging national EOSC Nodes from Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, the Netherlands, North Macedonia, Norway, Poland, Serbia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland. EOSC CONNECT aims at making EOSC work across borders. The Austrian project partners were represented by Florian Goldenberg (ASC), Peter Kraker (OpenKnowledge Maps), Ilire Hasani-Mavriqi, Stefan Reichmann and Miguel Rey Mazón (TU Graz).

The countdown to the EOSC Symposium 2026 is on — but there is still time to attend this landmark event! Open science is founded on one fundamental principle: making research methods, materials, and results as accessible as possible. It increases the visibility and impact of research within the academic world and society at large, helps improve the reproducibility, preservation and reuse of research materials, and reinforces the integrity and transparency of the research process.

The written procedure for the 14th EOSC-A General Assembly opened today and will close on 13 September 2026 at 23:59 CEST. All registered delegates of EOSC-A Member Organisations should have received their voting credentials and a unique link to the Helios Voting platform from this morning.

BRUSSELS – The EOSC Federation marked its largest milestone to date, as 28 EOSC Nodes converged in Brussels on 07-08 July 2026. The gathering signalled a coordinated push to advance from prototype to the anticipated autumn transition to production.
