Movement for Indigenous Data Sovereignty: A Māori Decolonization Tool

This talk will first outline which data can be described as “indigenous”
or “Māori data”, and to what extent sovereignty can be achieved for it.
In New Zealand, a movement has formed that advocates for this
sovereignty and thus promotes decolonial thinking. The Decolonize the
Library Network in German-speaking Countries invites you after the talk,
inspired by this practice, to discuss options for decolonial handling of
data in libraries.
Chris Cormack co-developed the open source library management system
Koho and works to increase the participation and representation of Māori
in the IT sector, siehe https://www.linkedin.com/in/chriscormack/.
