In this interview communication scientist Maria Schreiber focus on qualitative research (to be more specific, she researches Visual Communication and Social Media) and shares her opinion on why sharing and reusing qualitative data is challenging as well as on trust in others’ research data.

Consultation for MAR 2025-27 opens to EOSC-A members and observers

Since 08 March, the EOSC-A members and observer are invited to join four-week consultation on the MAR 2025-27. The EOSC-A aims to gather community views on the priorities and outcomes proposed. The MAR will form part of the Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda (SRIA), which defines the general framework for future research, development and innovation activities in relation to the EOSC.

What are Researchers’ Needs in Data Discovery? Analysis and Ranking of a Large-Scale Collection of Crowdsourced Use Cases

Data discovery is important to facilitate data re-use. This paper presents the analysis of these 101 use cases collected between 2019 and 2020 to examine data discovery requirements. We categorized the information across 12 topics and eight types of users.

The Austrian Academy of Sciences is funding research projects in the field of data/microdata research. Data-based research harbors enormous potential for basic research that is relevant to society. In three calls from spring 2023, a total of nine million euros will be made available from funds from the Fonds Zukunft Österreich.
